This article was published this month in the peer-reviewed Journal of Orthopaedic Surgery.

 Acromioclavicular joint injuries are fairly common in sports such as cycling and rugby.  Some patients will benefit from early surgery.  Previously, many surgeons have adopted a dogmatic, x-ray based, method for deciding who needs an early operation.  This may not be such a good system for selecting patients for early surgery.
